Club Q Update #92 - A Moment Of Madness

Here’s another home demo, and what I envisaged being a bluesy kinda stomp song.

It was inspired by the sound of my neck pickup on the PRS Vela that I had just got at this point. It’s kinda Strat-like and perfect for that churning kinda SRV rhythm, that simultaneous rhythm and lead thing that he did to perfection.

I like this tune, although I feel the demo lacks the kind of excitement that we could put into it in a live setting. That’s the problem with programmed drums, and playing everything yourself on a demo - sometimes what the song really needs is to be thrashed out in anger by a big, loud band. I think that’s what this song needs!
