Club Q Update #24 - Something for the healthcare folks.
I wrote this song back when my wife was pregnant with our daughter, and I was about to head out on the road for a little while. I felt so torn. I didn’t want to leave, but I also wanted to provide, to go out and earn some money to bring home to my family. I want to work hard to make sure they have what they need to be happy and comfortable. That feeling of conflict is something i’ve learned doesn’t go away, and it perhaps gets even stronger. I love my job, and I love my family. On the whole i’d say i’m the luckiest man alive.
I sometimes sing this tune to my little girl while I’m rocking her to sleep, and this afternoon as I put her in her bed for her nap (we should all be so lucky eh?), I thought that some of these words might ring true for those brave nurses, doctors, X-ray techs, and healthcare professionals who are out there facing this awful situation head on.
So I thought i’d share it with you. Here’s my little home demo. I hope you like it.
