USA Today P.o.W & Billboard no.4!

Two exciting bits of news today - firstly, ‘Tear Down The Walls’ has been chosen as USA Today’s Pick of the Week; read the full article here: http://is.gd/IvDN
Secondly, new album ‘Coming Up For Air’ went into the Billboard Blues chart at no.4! So a HUGE thankyou to everyone that’s bought a copy this past week. If you’re still trying to get hold of a copy, you can download it from iTunes USA*, or pre-order from Amazon (all links are on the homepage), or you can get a copy from any of the upcoming gigs.
There is another bit of really big news that I’m busting to tell you about.. but can’t. Til tomorrow. So I’m going to leave you hanging! ![]()
Til then…Cheers!
Christy
*if you’re outside of the US, like I am, you can still download the album by clicking on the iTunes link on the homepage, then choosing the ‘change store’ option when it pops up. It worked great for me (course, I may have just weirded out my iTunes for future purchases, but it was worth it, ha!)

YIPPEE!! CONGRATS!!! Bought the album from itunes and can’t stop listening to it! The album is great and deserves all the recognition you are getting! Saw/heard you in Annapolis, and can’t wait to see you again in August at Oregon Ridge! WELL DONE!

Comming up for air is great! We all know Davy rips
on the guitar, the new album highlights his singing
and song writing with some tasty guitar mixed in.
I like the introduction of some keyboards as well.
Can’t wait for the Seattle show in the fall.

They just cancelled they show in Alexandria VA ...! Aaargh!
Posted by WraithRat on 06/01
ohh.. why did they cancel? Hope everything is ok!!! However, ... Alexandria VA is only about 1.5 hours from Oregon Ridge (Cockeysville, MD)—come to the August 15th show there!!!!

Sorry photogirl but Davy’s hollywood mgt. group has cancelled that show also pending more shows with Chickenfoot. I am pissed! Isn’t that what contracts are for? I hope he realizes that he hasn’t made it quite yet and may want to continue to get more followers from the blues crowd. I only even checked out his stuff because he signed on to do this festival. I love the first album and the live stuff but I can already see by the new album what direction he (or possibly his mgt.) is heading. Don’t get me wrong he is very talented but I hope he doesn’t ignore the music and in turn the fans that got him on the map.

The band is playing June 20th in Fort Wayne, In. at the BBQ Ribfest Ribfest. The Ribfest just made Martha Stewart Living Magazine June issue as one of top Ribfests in the nation! It’s a great time and that much better with Davy and BDS playing! It’s slogan is the Ultimate in Blues, Brews, and BBQ.

Hi!
Where to buy Back Door Slam - Live From Bonnaroo (LP, vinyl limited edition)?

I have seen Davy about eleven times in concert. I have had the privilege to speak to this talented young man on several occasions in Chicago. Davy has too much depth as a human being to distance himself from roots, his fans that helped him build the foundation upon which he now stands. His rise is nearly vertical and he is well aware that his strength comes from the support at the base; family, friends, fans.

Dr. Bailey,
I obviuosly cannot speak for his character but I just don’t like to see anyone back out of an obligation. I am sure that his mgt. co. has alot, if not all, to do with his backing out of these shows but that still reflects on him.

Davy is one of the greatest young talents I’ve ever seen. On top of that, he has a heart of gold and is one of the most humble people I’ve ever met. To think otherwise of him would be totally wrong. I’m very happy to call him my friend.

Mr. Ebert,
He may be a very humble and great person but that does not change the fact that he/ his mgt. co. dropped contract gigs when something else came along.

While I agree with both of you (and I AM a Libra so I always see both sides / keep balance) .. While I am definitely UPSET that he has ALLOWED HIS management team/promotoers to cancel COMMITMENTS that he(?)(they?) made ... to go with a “better job opportunity” ... Isn’t that what we do when we are starting out in the real world of our careers? We take one job and then quit and go for the gold with a “better job opportunity” .. On another note—who is Chickenfoot anyway? After appearing on the same stage as Los Lonely Boys .... Once again, the mighty dollar seems to have the ruling vote. But, he is young, and as we do still live in a FREE COUNTRY, he is granted the right to make his own decisions, be they wrong or right (in our eyes). I, personally, am planning on going to the MUSIKFEST in Bethelem, PA. Hopefully his “management/promoters” will not leave his fans hanging at that event.
