Update from Davy - end of Beck Tour & more

So I’ve reached the end of the Jeff Beck tour, and not only did I have a great time - but I learnt a ton too. Playing solo acoustic is tough, and with nothing behind you to back you up your mistakes stick out like a sore thumb! I had a blast though. It was wonderful to end the tour by playing the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic benefit gig in San Francisco. One of the biggest thrills for me was playing with Kevin Hayes and Karl Sevareid who were members of the Robert Cray Band that my Dad took me to see when I was 16. What an honour! And what an honour indeed to share that stage with master songstress Bonnie Hayes who helped pen the song “Back Door Slam”. To end the night I had a free-form Hendrix jam with music legend Nerada Michael Walden and Haight Ashbury Free Clinic founder John Eckstrom. Add to that playing alongside the always wonderful Christine Collister, and you get a picture of how fun a night it was!
I’m looking forward to a load of stuff this year, I’m up in Seattle right now rehearsing up a fully electric set to support my new album, ‘Coming Up For Air’ that comes out June 16th. There are a load of dates booked for this summer, with more being added all the time, so keep an eye out! It’s gonna be good to turn it up and rock it out!
I shall leave you with a very silly picture of me and my fancy new camera - which I promise I shall learn how to use properly!
Cheers!

Davy,
It’s nice to see you give credit to your dad about taking you to concerts, just like I took Mike to yours in Minneapolis last year. We can’t wait to see you this summer or fall. All the best! Cheers!
