Tour Saturday- New album download on Tuesday

Posted May 11, 2009 by Christy

Hello all! Just a reminder that “Davy & Back Door Slam” will be hitting the road on Saturday 16th. They’ll be playing the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival in Maryland at the weekend, then they join the mighty ‘Chickenfoot’ for a few dates before crisscrossing the States - and the festival season - throughout the Summer. Visit the gigs page for more details (NB: some of the dates are displaying out of order at the moment - we’re fixing this! in the meantime, please do check through ALL of the dates in case you miss one. Thanks smile

And yet more exciting news to reveal in this blog - the much anticipated brand new studio album “COMING UP FOR AIR” will be available for download in the USA as of Tuesday (May 19th). Produced by the legendary Peter Frampton, the album is full of original DavyK songs, plus two co-writes with ‘the Framp’ himself, and one superb cover… We’ll post the link to the album here on the website as soon as it’s available. Am also digging around to get an idea of when it’ll be available to download globally - will let you know as soon as we hear.

The CD version will be available in stores/online from June 16th, and includes the stunning artwork by Manx artist Kit Nelson - well worth checking out.

That’s all for now!
Cheers and best from the tiny Isle (of Man, for the uninitiated wink)

  1. Davy,  I had a feeling that you were being modest about your accomplishments, but oh my gosh!!  You have already done so many amazing things.  Your combination of talent, charm and endearing modesty will surely take you to the top.  And I WILL be saving your autograph, and I WILL be saying “I sat next to him on a plane once”!  Looking forward to listening to your CD which I ordered a few days ago.  Looking forward to following your career, and hoping that you will play again in the Seattle area.  Cheers from your seat mate from flight 23 out of OHare!

  1. Davy,

I was lucky enough to be in Annapolis Saturday to see you and the band.  Thanks very much for the new CD and the autographs.  I can’t wait to see you and the band again, possibly at the Birchmere in Alexandria on August 14.

  1. Please Please Please stop down on the farm 6/12 or 6/14.  I will not be in Nashville till the 10th and there is no way I can drag my old butt back to philly in time to see you at The World Cafe.  Its an hour due south of Nashville.  You can do this, you have youth and spunk while I am old, short, dumpy and blind{so my kids tell me}.  Come on be spontaneous:)I haven’t missed you yet when you hit philly, that must mean something…it means I’m a total creeper…I can live with that.

  1. I’m pumped for the new album, but was upset to hear you pulled out of the Hot August Blues Festival. It would have been cool for you guys to get us all jacked up for Bonamassa.
