No.2 in chart, & Davy’s guitar lesson

‘Coming Up For Air’ climbed to number 2 in the Billboard Blues Chart yesterday. This is our highest position yet - so a huge thanks to everyone that’s bought the album already. Now let’s see if we can get that to Number 1!! ![]()

I was one of the lucky ones in Chattanooga that got two days of extraordinary gigs and the new albumw all in a weekend. Absolutely a summer of great music to remember forever. Took a walk on the bridge today and recall the talk of how the sounds of your guitar and your voice seem to come from the riverbanks and dance in the moonlight on the Tennesse River on that hot summer nite…Maybe…another gig under the bridge. Flicker Pics Soon

I took the family and friends to see the Show at “The Basement” in Columbus, Ohio. We were there last year also. A great venue, small and intimate to see such a great talent. I hope Back Door Slams returns for a third show. I have been to alot of shows seen alot of great guitar players and Davy Knowles is at the top of the mountain, amazing.—- The new CD is the best music from start to finish I’ve heard in a long time. George Harrison’s cover of “Hear Me Lord” is stellar. George would be proud. Knowles and Frampton Dueling Guitars priceless.—This should be the number 1 CD on Blues and Rock Charts. Go Buy it and enjoy.
Thanks for a great show and signing those CD’s BDS.

To anyone that will listen….I didn’t think that Davy, PK and Steve could reach a higher place than the impromptu show they did in Aurora, IL on June 19th. Man, was I wrong! The guys destroyed a huge crowd that had gathered in Milwaukee at Summerfest on June 30th. They were opening for Buddy Guy and honestly, I felt sorry for Buddy and his band to have to follow such a magificent performance as the one that we saw when Davy and BDS hit the stage. Words just can’t describe what I and hundreds of others witnessed. I consider Davy a good friend of mne and I’ve told him before that no one has thrilled people since Rory Gallagher like he does. Here’s a few videos and pictures as proof to what I just said:

P.S. I’ve got a couple more videos to upload to Youtube and will post them when I can.

Hello my name is Krystal Conley, and to be completely honest I did not know who you where (Davy Knowles) until after my father attended rib fest and saw you perform. And from what he has told me I absolutely must say that I’m so utterly and completely impressed. YOu are a great singer, wonderful artist, and an amazing person all together. Of all the performances he has told me about he has spoken about yours the most. Now the reasons I am typing this are not only to hopefully hear back from you, but to also try and show my appreciation for you and the talent you are deffinately gifted with. I also have one other slight reason, and though I expect nothing more than maybe your people sending back some nice comment or e-mail I still will be letting you know. My birthday is in 3 days. July 5th, and this is the year that I will be 16. Now most girls dream of sweet 16, big extravagent gifts, and a brand new beautiful car. Now for myself I’m just happy that my mother is letting and helping me plan a cookout with my dozen or so friends, and getting my dad’s old hamy-down ‘senior’ car. And don’t get me wrong I love my car and being able to throw the party myself, but if you are goign to be in Indiana, preferable Huntington Indiana(sort of near Fortwayne) on the 18th of July between 12p.m. and 4-5p.m. I would die of happiness if you would want to drop by my party. I will not leave my address in this comment but if you or your people would like it you can e-mail or comment back and I will do my very best to make sure and check this. Thank you so much for your time and just one last time I would love to tell you that you are an amazign singer, artist, and overal person. Thank you for taking your time to read this horribley long comment.
a grand new fan

Just saw some video of from Milwaukee Summerfast. You did a nice version of Rory’s “Walk on Hot Coals”. Have you thought about using a tube screamer for that big solo? A guy in Britain is making copies of the old Hawk Booster. Here’s Rory at his best doing Walk on Hot Coals in ‘75.

Check out the 6:40 mark when he punches that tube screamer.

Unbelievable show at the Higher Ground last Friday. Davy was on fire, just amazing. I’ve seen Davy and BDS as the backup at four shows, but nothing beats when they can play a full set as the headliner. Thanks for a great show Davy, and for being your usual friendly, down to earth self post-show. Special thanks also go out to Paul and Sharry, and to the Missouri crew for helping make it such a fun and memorable show.

I have seen plenty of videos on the internet but have not had the chance to see BDS live. When are you going to make a stop in Orlando, FL. Hopefully soon.
