Watch Davy on WGN-TV TONIGHT (June 25th)

Posted Jun 22, 2009 by Davy

UPDATE:  Watch Davy’s interview from the Bob & Tom Show broadcast nationally tonight on WGN-TV. Check here for local stations: http://www.wgnamerica.com/pages/channelfinder

Davy K and the travelling crew will be appearing on the legendary Bob and Tom Show tomorrow morning (Tues June 23rd) in the 9am hour (2pm GMT). They will also be part of the one hour TV show that night on superstation WGN (see below for info)...

Here is some techie knowhow about how to tune in:

“The Bob and Tom Show (http://www.bobandtom.com/gen3/index.htm) is heard on 150 stations coast-to-coast, but only a few free stream the broadcasts online. I listen mornings via WOFX-FM, Cincinnati (5-11 ET) and KHKK-FM, Modesto (5-9 PT), plus WIOT-FM, Toledo (5-10 ET) and KKGL-FM, Boise (6-10 PT). Check Bob and Tom’s Affiliates page to locate others.”

and some info about the show itself: “WGN America presents “The Bob & Tom Show”, an original series. Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold host a daily radio show from studios in Indianapolis. It’s syndication in more than 150 U.S. cities makes it the most listened to morning show in America.

Cameras will spy upon their daily radio broadcast each morning, and condense it into an hour-long laughfest weeknights on WGN America. Celebrity guests, in-studio visits from comedians, and skits and spoofs have made them the most dominant duo on the FM dial. Featured in the past on Comedy Central as hosts of their own special, this is Bob & Tom’s first foray into daily television.

It’s truly TV You Can’t Ignore, and you can only see them on WGN America.”

If you ARE able to tune in, it’d be great if you could contact the show and let them know you’re listening, and of course, feel free to enthuse about Davy and the band wink

Also, we’ve been getting some great feedback on the album - check out this latest ‘enthusiastic’ review from a senior editor of BlogCritics: http://tr.im/pnVG (thanks guys!)

  1. Caught the band on Bob and Tom this morning, and was absolutely knocked back on my ass.  I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so completely blown away.

If there is any justice in the music business, you will be an absolute SUPERSTAR.

  1. Davy, I heard you on Bob and Tom the other morning driving to work and instantly was a fan. I need to know the name of the first song you did on the show and if that is on the new CD coming out? It was a killer tune. Have listened to you on Pandora Radio ever since.

  1. yo davie I heard your song on Bob and Tom and I had never heard of you before and love your music. Sounds like something straight out of the seventies man. Sweet song by the way, good beat and good riffs. Rock on man!

  1. Davy,

What a tremendously amazing “impromptu” show it was in Aurora, IL on June 19th. I just got back from northern Wisconsin and had to drop you a note. If you’re interested, here are the pictures and video I took of that show:

  1. To anyone that will listen….I didn’t think that Davy, PK and Steve could reach a higher place than the impromptu show they did in Aurora, IL on June 19th. Man, was I wrong! The guys destroyed a huge crowd that had gathered in Milwaukee at Summerfest on June 30th. They were opening for Buddy Guy and honestly, I felt sorry for Buddy and his band to have to follow such a magificent performance as the one that we saw when Davy and BDS hit the stage. Words just can’t describe what I and hundreds of others witnessed. I consider Davy a good friend of mne and I’ve told him before that no one has thrilled people since Rory Gallagher like he does. Here’s a few videos and pictures as proof to what I just said:

    “Opening Jam” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqaPswqWJLs

    “Riverbed” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2yw4KBvyTM

    “Tear Down The Walls” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4stTWuhT4zE

“Almost Cut My Hair” Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPbACKXXkjo

“Almost Cut My Hair” Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1AwbC71nd0

    Enjoy,

    Roy

P.S. I’ve got a couple more videos to upload to Youtube and will post them when I can.

  1. As promised, here is the other two songs that I recorded of Davy, PK and Steve from their Milwaukee Summerfest show on June 30th,2009:

“What In The World” Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOpn9OoFuiY

“What In The World” Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNepbRJcp78

    “Walk On Hot Coals” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clUUOruVU7s

I must tell you all, I’ve never seen anyone play “Walk On Hot Coals” like this except for the laet, great Rory Gallagher whom I was fortunate to see live twice in the early ‘70s. On this night, Rory must have been looking down from above with a huge smile on his face when the guys played his song. Man, did this bring back memories…...All I can say is, FANTASTIC!!

    Enjoy,

    Roy
